Has anyone done a 'silly' thing on Valentines day? let us know. In 2007 I made a large red heart and secured it around my waist with elastic (Wearing nothing else but a smile). Then with a large box of chocs an a card i presented myself, lol.Other family members were also present (and shocked), and enjoyed the 'laugh'. |

He walked twice yesterday. and I told him he was to thin as it was...but he thinks he has to keep "fit" for scouting these days...and he's already learned from the past about having an weekly office job.... where your glued to an desk... that it's not always all that healthy. I will make him his wine poached salmon dinner tonight with asparagus and salad...and he seldoms eats "dessert" these days any more. I think going some where would be an better thing to do..but we are in an save the money routine right now...and will be several years if we can't stay away from others that seem to need our money we don't have. The best gift to hubby would be an debt free "retirement"....but one he can be comfortable with in doing things and going places ...now and then. He seemed to enjoy the grandson's over Saturday night, he don't really watch them...like I do..but he was interacting with them upon occasion..wrestling around an bit and teasing them. As they get older, they can do more things together maybe. He takes the oldest grandson to Scouts as it is these days. Both the scout master of our old troop and hubby have their grandson's in scoutting together these days...plus they still are in the other older troop also...I think they try to keep it going for it's sheer age locally through the years..we now have members that joined it way back when that have passed on due to old age...many of them were this area's prominent citzens at one time.I believe they like to keep the trroop going another generation. We have our 46th wedding anniversary on the 17th also..so Valentine's Day is an token day and we celebrate better on our anniversary...not so many people to battle the crowds with in going out to dinner. |
