                Devious here, well I don't know who we award this one to.

       Cathy is right, it is National tartan, to have left Cornish in would have been really devious, But Ron what a leap to arrive at the possibility of it being the name of a tartan was genius, I will let you two fight it out between you.

                   The three main tartans in Cornwall are:- 

Cornish National Tartan

Cornish Hunting Tartan

Cornish St.Piran Dress Tartan

Cornish St.Piran Flag Tartan

    plus about another five or six different tartans some of which are family tartans.

                  Well done all!

And Cathyml, thank you (meur ras) for using your your new Cornish phrase book.

Oh! whoops.  I thought you would take that one Ron as you put on about the tartans.  Although I must admit I had already looked them up but didn't find an "N" tartan, so thought I was "barking up the wrong tree" until you mentioned them in your posting.

OK then - time for an easy one, lol.  Letter "S"
