When I saw pictures of Kate wearing Princess Diana's engagement ring I was taken right back to the days of Charles' and Diana's wedding! I was only a year younger than Diana and like most young women of that time was totally besotted with her. I remember setting my clock to get up and watch the royal wedding. :-) Of course, watching Prince William and Kate together is such a contrast to the now obvious stiffness of Charles during his and Diana's engagement interview. Diana seemed so shy and even a little lost and taken aback by Charles response when asked if he and Diana were in love: "What ever love is". Ouch! Everyone should have said, run Diana, run! However, at the time, and in my blissful ignorance, I was totally caught up in the hoopla of the occasion. I remember I used to collect the books about Diana and Charles. I had them for years. I don't even remember what happened to them. William and Kate seem so well suited, and clearly, genuinely in love. I wish them every happiness. |

They have not really revealed to many things about the wedding as of yet. It seemed to be well favored by everyone...even the "seers" at the turn of the New Year in what they had to say about the coming year's events. |
