Thank you for posting this as we haven't heard anything here in the UK yet. We hope and pray that Russell and Linda deMalmanche and their family throughout New Zealand are safe and well, as of course we do for other families but from what you have said already some will have lost loved ones. Terrible, how do you come to terms with what nature throws at you? Weve just turned on Sky who are covering it. |

Maybe next time we can alert those people in time.. they can evacuate the area? Save the lives of 65 people. This is our aim you know.... for being in the web sites.. (.besides an few that like the dramatics in earthquake prediction). I also study the pictures of the aftermath also to learn things...in this case they show an brick building wth an double wall...the first wall collpased, the second interior one did not..many of the buildings with metal framework do not look like they were made of steel..they twisted and fell...perhaps alunium? It is heart rendering to watch them "cry" in these video's being shown..it not only is from the destruction and possibly losing loved ones...but the very very "fear" of being caught in something of this nature. I send them hugs...and most anyone that has ever been in such an quake well understands that aftermath of released fear..to have the ground under your feet you take for granted to stay put... open up everywhere below you...you not knowing if your going to be swallowed up or left standing...and the grinding noise also...you just can not image the horrable sound that comes up out of the ground. The 117 whales that beached themselves recently most likely died form having the "bends" and not being able to breathe properly...another report on earthboppin..in the threads...from the lack of nitrogen they surface..adn are dis-orientated...one of my main predictors symptoms I have also...cause in someways of my heart problems....as if find out "electro-magnectics" is the after math product of the cause...in this casethe sun spot actvity. We also don't know the recent gravitational effects of the "true" north pole moving here lately either...but there's an South Pole to north pole also you understand. One person brought that up beforehand also...he was noticing several 5 point quakes in areas on angles out from what would be this area before this quake happened...he said then..take a look you guys...no small precusor quakes...weird. Your earth made "Ley Line" effect. I still say that the sacred sites, like stonehenge was placed where it was to curb and release this kind of energy in ancient times.. redirect it...just much like the work of lgitheworkers these days do...native american shamans. They were able to use "crystals" to do that...but you have to know the correct frequency needed. Sorry ths post is so long, but it's not just our planet that is affected...and some day those "moon quakes" if we colonize it (some say it already is) will have to be dwelt with also. We too send our prayers. The Somalie pirates "murdered" the Americans hostages yesterday...don't have to worry about negoations...how sad. I am sure if they had children they will be missed...someone cries somewhere. It was an bad night for me last night health wise...even EQMary says she felt like her heart was about to give out...from the transfer energy going on... I rest an bit now. |

Where are all the collection boxes, tv adverts asking for help as in other recent quake zones? News is on now and whats the lead story? B....y Libya! Got our priorities wrong I reckon. They have been having after shocks in the 4 to 5 mag range...so it must feel like an constant low rumbling going on. I looked at 148 pictures yesterday of the after-math as we try to learn how to deal and what needed changed to deal with things for in the future. I'd say their transporation infrastructure is ruined in some places...some of those roads are showing "fountain" holes with half and car or half an bus sunk down in them...it's apparent by the flooded streets they lost thier storm drainage also. If they want to have an one-planet disaster Relief Center for such goings on here's some things they need in the arsenal of equiptment to help out....more big heavy duty cranes to raise up cement strucutres, more night lighting devices, small whelled first aide carts...equipted with crutches and an emergency station tent for the injured, disinfectant handi wipes and bandages..tarps blankets and body warmers and soup and blankets. Make shift bridges that can be hauled into place by an few people to cross streams...piping to and pumps to get rid of standing water from storm drains not in use. Some kind of depth finder to measure how safe and how far down the cracks in the roads are and how whide they are for people to travel over them....I find that one of their biggest hazzards. Boats have depth finders and graphic print-out of what's on the bottom and how far on the bottom..they need something like that. Things I noticed structurally....the arches held, the points, balconies, domes didn't. They had an lot of brick...but it looked like it was un- re-inforced brick. The damages of the walls going out in the units was an combination of brick walls and windows...so the whole wall flew off..because none of it looked as though it had ceiling to floor re-inforcements...same with the three level parking lot...the piers holding it up snapped like tootpicks because they were hollow...had they been filled with cement they might of stayed solid. Out of all the people walking about only one person had on an surival back pack. I saw no ladders coming off top blaconies for emergency evacuation either. They were lucky there were few if any fires afterwards. I think they are pretty much still in shock in ways. The constant after shocks most likley has them dis-orientated an bit also. Last I heard, 98 dead, 500 missing...population for Christ church is 377,000. It 'was not the epicenter...Lttleton was... near the coast line. No matter how you build it almost impossibel to make something truly earthquake proof beyond and this magnitude...they do have the tall sky scrapers in most places now of rolling balls in teh ground to absorb the motion of an quake...but I still in the pictures saw new cement buildings buckled...destroyed. That old adage that quakes make buildings fall toward the center was and was not apparent in the pictures...so inded the integrity of the building itself had much to do in it's damage. People were smart enough to head to local parks and schools grounds...one place with no underground piping for wires because most of them are running out front to the street.Good reason we should have more small neighborhood parks because they can go back in local houses for their needs but stay on safe ground until the shaking stops. I would call this quake one of the best filmed quakes I've seen so far. I saw no tents up in the parks...but people gathering there just the same. Many places now are having earthquake drills you know..just to be able to have people specifically tied into certain jobs to do afterwards...such as man an neighborhood "medical" cart of basic supplies..I'm watching TV...lots lots more rescuers there today. |

Neither do we have any idea of the whereabouts of any of their family. So sorry dear Russell, Linda and family... |

Why is that I wonder, and further why do we need to stick our nose in yet again? What about New Zealand David Cameron? |
