Thanks to someone herein who recommended it (I can't seem to find the post for a more specific thanks), I recently ordered online Yorkshire Gold tea.  Now I'm addicted.  It's so much more rich in flavor than good old watery Lipton.  I also got a box of Devonshire tea, but haven't tried it yet.

Is this the best available English tea?  I can't imagine one could be better!

Yorkshire tea is definitely my favourite.

I live in Devon and until I read your post I had never heard of Devonshire Tea.  I've just Googled it and apparently the Company was only founded in 2009, and the tea has a mild flavour.  So I don't think it will be in the same league as Yorkshire.

 Enjoy your cuppa!

My personal favorite, most definitely, is Punjana Irish Breakfast Tea, which has been blended by Thompson's of Belfast since the late 19th century. Believe me, I've consumed a lot of tea during the course of my life, but Punjana Irish Breakfast is by far the best I've ever had. For those in the U.S., there are many online sources for this tea, including Amazon.

In regard to Yorkshire Gold and Yorkshire Tea (both blended by Taylors of Harrowgate), if you have a local T. J. Maxx (U.S.), check the food area--I have nearly always found one or both teas in stock, generally at $5.99 or less for 50-bag boxes, at least in Michigan and northern Ohio. Taylors of Harrowgate's Scottish Breakfast Tea is also very good if you can find it.

As Captain Jean Luc Picard would say:  "Tea, Earl Grey, hot."

Lol @ Ruth. Me too! I usually drink Twinnings, but I also like The Republic of Tea brand of Earl Grey called Earl Greyer. It has less bergamot and is very smooth.
