Just one problem...I'm busy as all get out right now and expecting my sister overnight maybe... she's having health problems and inspection today...so I better go make some potato soup. There is not an day in an long time that I am not going back and forth into England with this genealogy work I'm doing. Any of this sound familiar to you?...William Lewis of ysgyrd Parish and Elizabeth Proger of Wern ddu Feb. 3, 1610 in St. Teilos, Monmouthshirem Wales; d.Aug 21, 1657 in Virginia (USA)...it took me most of last night to trace this family from marrying my husband's side, beig they started out from roots of my mother's side back to this gentleman by way of DNA tests...and general genealogy look- ups...this Col. Fielding Lewis family m. JohnWashington (kin of Geo. Washington, President)...it was hard because the started out in the "Indian Lands" area of Tenneeseewhere records were nto exclusively kept...or known at one time. I left them in St. Charles, Mo. by an son after marrying into my hsband's line of Lawson. At that time they looked VERY Native American to me...esp the name of..... Ita Ha Ha Barton. (for Larkin)...coming straight out of Daniel Boone's Fort in Ky. none the less. I have my Larkin line m. Murphy's as an preacher in North Carolina to all over Tennessee/Ky. I go for now. I wonder if she's part of Chief Kade's lineage for Cades Cove...now an historical area in Tenn....many minister's took in the lines of royal lines of the Native American's...as was done with Pocahontas...of early Jameswtown, Va. Anyway...must go for now. |

Sorry I just missed you Ruth, maybe get a chance to chat over your extended weekend :-) Hi everyone, wishing you all a wonderful Thursday |
