After posting several pictures of England over the last couple of days, Cathyml asked if I'd had a sneaky trip to England, and the answer is no.

I'm a terribly procrastinator, and these pictures were taken on my (sad) trip to England in September 2009 when my 'dad' died.

One bright sunny day I was picked up by a wonderful friend who took me on a tour around the beautiful countryside close to where I grew up. The weather was perfect, as you can see by the blue sky and noted by Vince Hawthorn in my Brill Windmill shot.

And the company was perfect, enjoying a lovely pub meal but NOT over imbibing (in reference to Sally's question) or even imbibing at all as I'm t-total, here in this lovely old pub, The Royal Standard of England.

In spite of the sadness of the event taking me home to England, I had a wonderful trip, made even more so by the generosity of dear friends.

As for my next trip home, I would like to think that I can make a trip in October, but that remains to be seen. I am terribly homesick, so it has to be this year or next.

Lol, Sue.  But I'm glad you had more gorgeous pictures to add to POE (I think Ruth has been doing the same thing!).

My favourites from your recent pics are these (I love the way we are all attracted differently to different pictures)

I love seeing the vast landscape around this mill.  Must have been quite a job getting up to it with whatever needed to be milled!.

When I was growing up, we used to call it Brill on the hill, as it stood high. So yes, I can picture in my minds eye the horse wagons tromping up the hillside to drop off its load.

Hi Cathy:  Yes, I still have more I'll probably submit from time to time.  I don't like to send in too many at once.  I'm hoping that I can run over there to get more before I run out of the ones I have.
