So for all you out there who actually know what they're doing, I'll repeat Dave's question. What is your favourite lens? If you tell us why, I might learn something, too. |

For Brenda's question it's a close run thing for me between Nikon 24-70mm f2.8G and 70-200mm f2.8 VRII. I enjoy low/ ambient light photography and both allow me to do this such as church interirors, street scenes at night handheld, plus I like the narrow depth of field at F2.8 or wider. A typical example taking pics at night at Southampton Water. The earlier people with their P&S cams had got their photos and all left. Me and a chap with a Canon 40D/tripod the only ones left. So, here's the 70-200mm 2.8 at ISO 4000, 1/8th sec at f.2.8, 200mm handheld on the D3. I liked it anyway and thought it the best shot of the night's ships that cold, wet, January evening of the Queen Victoria going to New York with the Queen Elizabeth together. Favourite time is either May, when Spring is at that vivid green stage, or October, when the leaves are just perfect.
Between 6 and 8 AM, or when the sun rises and the mist is hanging. Do you like people in your pictures? |

My son is quite a good amateur photographer, but he definitely didn't get it from his mother. He started out in a class in high school in the '80s with a Pentax camera. Sue, I like some photos with people in them if it's a personal holiday, but otherwise, I prefer photographs without people. (Particularly me. I'm terribly unphotogenic I think.) I especially like photographs of buildings, street scenes, villages. Do you have the first camera you ever owned and if so, do you still use it? |

But I am not sure that I would want to take photographs there with their current devastating situation. Where would you most like to visit and take photos (money no object!) |

But wow, with unlimited money, can I just travel the world and take pictures galore? Same question, as it really is a corker. |
