Dame Thora Hird is correct and she is a DBE !  I can remember her so well on TV, I reckon she was one of the best comedienne's ever!  (Although I enjoyed Hattie Jacques too!)

She was brilliant in Last of the Summer Wine, probably my all time favourite tv comedy

Anyway onto the next one

I was born in the North East of England. Was a World Champion but died before I was 30. A granite memorial stands at the place of my death.
