Given the chance to meet anybody, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

One would certainly be my dad, died 26 years ago...so much was never said.....                            I have got some more but lets see some of your ideas.....

Talk about coincidence - I have just been listening to a radio programme which asked the same question and listeners were calling in or SMSing their answers.

I am not sure that I can pinpoint one single person, but I really admire strong women so perhaps Maggie Thatcher!

Well, first on my list would be Jesus. I've got allot of questions that I bet He can answer.

I would like to meet Boadicea. I bet she's quite the woman.

I would also like to meet J R R Tolkien and thank him personally for Lord of the Rings, which I have enjoyed reading many times across the years.

I would like to meet David McCallum. He's still alive, so I may one day be able to fulfil that wish. He was my very first crush. Ha!

Oh, I would like to meet some of my ancestors from way back, and see what kind of blood line I come from.

I have no desire to meet my biological mother, but I wouldn't mind having a look at her to see if I resemble her in any way.

There's a few just for starters.

Great question, Dave. As you can see, I'm having fun with it.

I'm on an roll now.

I would like to meet our present day Queen. Not officially, but bump into her while walking the dogs. This would be an impossible scenario, but I would like to have a good old chat with her, and see what the 'real' Elizabeth was like. Is she always as formal? Does she never just kick up her feet on the ottoman, sit back and watch 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'?

I would also like to meet Prince Charles in the same way. See the real person behind all the pomp and circumstance.

Richard Trevithick- for what he did the credit he deserves has been rather overlooked by history.

Rick Wakeman- his music and his humour

Spike Milligan- as he said "It's moments of insanity that keep you sane"

I would also like to meet Jesus. I, like you Sue, have many unanswered questions.

I want to meet My Great Grandmother Isabella (Andrews) England and find out what she did to my dad to hurt him so bad.

I want to see all my relatives who have passed. I miss them dearly.

I want to meet Princess Fergie and give her a huge hug.

I want to meet Princess Diana and have a long chat with her.

There is one special lady I would love to meet but I cannot mention her name. I often wonder what she would think of me.

Welll, as for Jesus...I did that in my near-death expereince and have seen him ever since..I found out why last night also...all people that go through such an episode are "psychic" there after...as there is in the right side of an brain  and area that is then called "fade out" in it's operating by the doctors...and they have found people that have this is the area where one can go into and out of different deminstional states of existence...they can also expereince lucid dreaming, out of body, and an array of phenomen. Now, I will tell you something about "Jesus" and being around him is like being around an "rainbow" in all his expressions...but you find yourself getting what you ask for, you don't even have to ask for it..he "knows"..so becareful what you ask for...I find myself an bit apprehensive about wanting things myself over serving him as our Lord. First time we walked together I asked him what my purpose was in life...and he answered that one. TodayI thought about seeing him in church...and later went to the Goodwill..looking for sofa pillows...and before I got in there, I thought to myself, " be nice if I could get some bargains and not an bunch of wasted money". I picked up two new sofa pillows...an new pair of summer sandles and one of thongs, three books I needed for information, something to message my feet..esp where they hurt so badly...and gift for my daughter in-law..all she has in thier house are candles and pictures of her kids..while all I seem to have is silk plants and candles..we laugh about that...but anyway...they gave me my birthday bonus early..$10...and I got everything new except for the books at nil what any other store would ask...my sandles had $16.99 on them and I paid $6.99...as I said "new" shoes also. Oh..I know..almost forgot...and angel statue. She has her hands in prayer and I set her out with my Susan B. Kommen "Pink" Geranium..over looking it... on my front porch entry...I knew only he could do that also..as I passed him by at the cash register so I could have the day off.  He looks an bit different to me these days with the dark colored hair. He came inside of me recently and spoke for me and liked to scare the willies out of me...he literally can do anything that he wants....and does. I wonder if he rememberts the finger tip "touch" from the past. Some people tell me that I am seeing the anti-christ..but I don't think so. I've never known him not to give others what they are thinking. Not what they are saying...but what they are thinking...and its always good things. I feel like I celebrated my birthday today...which is June 13th coming up. Got everything I needed or have thought in the recent days I need to look into getting.....Lord knows I love an bargain. I've never had money to really "waste".... so if I do it..I feel worse for it.

....Other then that...I suppose you could say if they are on the other side... I can talk to them. People here are still absorbed in themselves most the time...but more then anything...just "busy". Sometimes we need time as an "family" also.

Sue, do you watch David McCallum on NCIS? I always liked him, too, on Man from U.N.C.L.E.

I would love to meet President Bill Clinton. Some may disagree, but I thought he was a good president and I have many questions I could ask him. I would also choose Princess Diana. I admired her a great deal. She showed such caring and compassion for the children she visited with during her lifetime.

I would have to say, also, it would be amazing to meet all four of the Beatles, particularly John Lennon. I was and am a huge fan and loved John for his peace efforts.

I think Agatha Christie would be fascinating to talk with. It would be so interesting to discuss her characters with her and how she originally came up with Hercule Poirot and Jane Marple.

Of course, the ultimate would be to spend time again with my mother and father and several friends who have passed on.

Yes Brenda. When I bought The Man from U.N.C.L.E. DVD set a few years ago, someone told me that David McCallum was on NCIS, so I watched it. I was off my feet for about ten weeks after surgery, and pretty much watched every episode they've ever made. Ha!
