Just felt the need to say sorry to those POE members on FB who send, or have sent to me, requests to 'write on your wall', be your 'friend' etc. The fact is I haven't yet got the hang of FB and it seems quite a difficult site to navigate for somebody who doesn't have a lot of time to respond to each and every request. In fact the FB thing almost took over my mail inbox!!

Question: When I write on your 'wall' who see's it, maybe just the person to whom I reply? And then, is that 'wall' available for all to see/read/respond?

Have to say that writing on any wall represents grafiti for me, not a natural thing for me to do! lol

However, looking around the FB site has opened my eyes a little bit, in that some of the POE members that we have been enquiring and worrying about, are happily going about their business, playing games etc without a care in the world and seemingly not bothered about how the POE family members have pulled together, sent prayers etc, or just missed them. Okay, I accept it's your prerogative members to spend your time as you will, but please do try to pop into POE to let us know that you are alright from time to time.

Anyway, if you have made contact with old chubby cheeks 'Ron Boy' from POE via FB, hang on in there because I will get around to your wall sometime soon.

Being in the same boat as you Ron when it comes to FB I thought I would try to put something from POE on FB.  I've never done it before but clicked on the blue f button under Bookmark & Share and it just popped the page straight into FB.

I thought it would be better to rather use one of the tours so it was easy to delete the page and I then selected the "English Countryside" tour and clicked the blue f button and there it is.  (Although I don't think I should have let it put picturesofengland Chris & Sarah though but didn't know how to remove that bit.) duh.

If different members select different tours and just click the blue f button POE will be all over FB!

NB.  Give it a try Ron - you don't need to have FB open - just select one of the POE tours, click the blue f button under Bookmark or Share and it will get posted straight to FB!  Now that is so easy, lol

Need help and time to work it all out, but I'll get there!

I'm not a big Facebook fan, but I am on there and it is a great way to publicize things like the POE site. What I do like about it is I can go to my son's page and see the new pictures he's put up from his work and of the grandsons. I also posted pictures of my England trip on there so my friends could look at them easily. But I'm like you, Ron. I still don't know all the ins and outs of it. It seems to me if you want to talk to someone, a phone call or email is much easier and makes more sense. But then I have a cell phone, but never turn it on. Krissy, feel free to "friend" me on Facebook if you'd care to. You, too, Ron, once you figure it all out. I do know you can set your privacy settings so that only friends can read your wall, etc., if that's what you choose to do.

The only snag I can see is Brenda is the endless list of people on FB that share your name. I for one, would have no idea which one is yourself; a problem I've often come across.  Is there an easy answer I've overlooked?

I couldn't find Brenda either Paul!  There were lots of them!  Are you using the same pic on FB?  And I don't know of any easy answer!

I use Facebook as a tool to keep in touch with friends and family I wouldn't see otherwise. Lol. But really, it's not my thing to hang out and just play games etc.

I've recently learned that there are a lot of "scammers" and other unscrupulous people on Facebook. Be very careful that your setting are such that people you don't know can not access your page or your friends pages.

Sorry it took me so long to answer. Work had me crazy the last week. It is a problem on Facebook when it's a common name (like mine I guess). I have a different picture on there. It's a picture of my black and white cat. If anyone finds me, feel free to friend me. You're right, Diana, to be careful on there. I don't play the games or anything either. I put pictures on and keep up with my grandsons photos.
