Rob, Thanks so much. You're absolutely right. It was Father John's I was thinking about. And that's why I liked it because it had a licorice flavor to it and I love licorice. I can't believe you can still get it.

Ron, Horehounds drops are little brown hard candies. They have something on the outside of them that has a rough feeling to it. Some say it's sugar, but believe me, it doesn't taste like sugar. They are supposed to do wonders for sore throats, but I never could get past the taste of them. They're kind of like lemon drop candies only not nearly as nice. The Internet says they're made from horehound tea brewed in special copper kettles. I'd never heard that before, but there was always a bag of them somewhere in the house.

They gave me some steriods and antibilotics the year they didn';t know what I had exactly and had ran several tests on me then...at least they were able to stop the diareaha back then also...I came home and about an week later.....they came out with an e-coli out break in fresh greens... and I think that's what I really had.  One of the biggest reason's I think I think I got rid of it...whatever it was...can be attributed to four hours of slow drip IV's  at the emergency hosptial....cleaning out my system and  adding anti-bilotics then also. Two days... whatever it was was gone.
