Andy Murray to win (if he hasn't already done so). According to the bookmakers the odds are 1/9 on him winning, in other words stake £9 to win £1 yeah, I'll have some of that......not!!

The only good thing about ping pong was that Anthena poster.  I think the photographer who took the photo was mentioned in Amateur Photographer magazine recently.

Another day to go, cannot take any more of this boring game.  My wife watches it on TV.  Endless "experts" bang on about it as if its life or death, how do they find so much to say ?  At least Murray is out, I could have done better with a crutch and a parrot on the shoulder.

So how wrong were the bookmakers on this one?

Wonder how much money they made as he went out?

Who was Martin Elliott who died last year, aged 63.  The young lady being his then girl-friend Miss Butler and took it at Birmingham Univeristy in 1975 with a Nikon F ( which AP oddly called an F1 ).

After initially refusing it, Athena would later publish it the same year Virginia Wade won Wimbledon---when I don't recall her having to howl at every shot to do so.

It was also referenced as a side story in connection with the main one of a photographer who'd taken a photo of Kate Middleton/Duchess of Cambs. over Xmas 2010 and possible legal action being taken against him; Jan 14,2011 reported.  AP still reiterated the 1975 photo by Mr Elliott was taken with a Nikon F1--- though the predessor to the 1972 F2 was the F of course.
