I pulled up alongside just before both vehicles would meet a major traffic light junction, and suddenly the vehicle shot across the front of me, crossing four lanes allowing me to witness the lady driver putting on her make-up!! Absolutely genuine report, but where are the cops when you want them? Begs the question should women be allowed to drive on the road? Thinks, that should stir them up a bit! But I really think that young female drivers are scary drivers as they eat, drink, text, and do their hair and make-up and usually have their cars crammed with fluffy toys, they treat the car as a bedroom i'm sure of it. The insurance for young male drivers is sky high and I think that they ought to do the same with young females. And don't get me started on the ' OH SO LOUD MUSIC'!! that belts out from vehicles, Why do they think everyone else needs to hear it? Other responsible car drivers and especially Motorcyclists and cyclists have to be so diligent and aware, that driving is no longer a pleasure, it's more of running the gauntlet to get from A-B as safely as possible. |

The female in front of me kept touching up her makeup and hair everytime the traffic stopped, until the time she didn't. Bumped into the car infront. quick exchange of names etc and on we trudged again. could not believe what happened 5 minutes later. Still titivating her hair and face she ran into the same guy again!!!!! He was so surprised, stunned, amazed call it what you like and just approached he car laughing. As Karen says how some people, not just women I hasten to add, pass their tests is beyond me.....Driving in this day and age is bad enough at the best of times let alone with all the distractions we now have. I tend to have 1 CD in the player and let it play and play and play. When the wife is in with me the radio gets changed just about every tune! ! ! If she doesn't like what is on it gets changed, I don't get a look in. I shudder to think what would happen if she could drive ? ? ? |

There are as many inattentive or impatient drivers of either sex!! But my pet peeve is anyone, irrespective of age or gender, who is either talking on their cell phone, or far worse, texting on their cell phones (sorry that is mobile phones to you guys isn't it?) They are not - and can not - concentrate on their driving when their brains are otherwise occupied. They are indeed a dire hazard! |

Ron, is your middle name George (Orwell) cos 1984 definitely comes to mind with that suggestion, although it might not be a bad idea |
