I was eating a nice piece of chocolate cake when I starting reading your story............. We had a local news article this week about a man who did something equally appalling to some of his coworkers' lunches. Too bad to post on POE, but it was shocking. I love to eat out since I'm not a cook so I guess you have to try not think what goes on in the kitchens. I did draw the line, though, when I worked at the prison. Never ate in the cafeteria. The inmates made the food so you can imagine what they must have been up to. |

i have seen worse actually ...it reminds me of a chap i saw selling burgers and hot dogs years ago in Birmingham city centre at an event they were holding there. He was absolutely paraletic!! filthy dirty.. and shouting 'BURGERS' ...'HOTDOGS' in his drunken slured way ....whilst spitting and dribbling over all the meat on the grill!!! |

Then there's Robert Irwin also....he really lands into some of the mom an pop cafes for things they generally don't know are sanitary measures. Things like you can't leave food out overnight...unattended. They make you go through an food handler's course before you can get an restruant job for the most part, at least I had to before working with Boston Market, back in years. It's probably an good thing...they go alot on food temperatures, washing the hands and disinfecting the place properly also. The little bucket I had down by my feet, the disinfetant in it was pretty strong stuff. I had to change my wedding ring over to something more substantial as it was wrecking my ring. Some guy, regulalr customer use to come in all the time anyway, before the place closed, he said..I know...you can't take "tips" but here's one your deserving, and have been since I started coming here..and he had made an ring out of an 5 dollar bill and placed it on my finger...he owned an business in town of his own for many many years. Also in the Elks Lodge here in town. We had been "Elks" before I had my son and then went back to work and could no longer go to lodge much...between exchanging hands on my son's babysitting, working and building the other half of my house..there wasn't much time in my life to do an lot of things. Lot of them use to come and see me though at the restruant...as well as nieghbors and people I knew in general. |
