They were raising money for various charities I believe, and plenty of people were lining up for the delicacy, with the smell of onions permeating the air. Deserve credit for that maybe? Yes I think so, I mean it's nice to see the local supermarket putting something back into the community isn't it? So what is this thread all about then you ask. Imagine the scene....busy shopfront, barbeque filling the air with wonderful aroma, and I am sat in the car just 12 feet away waiting for Anna to finish her shopping. In the meantime the sales are plentiful, people walking away with a burger, or hotdog and they just can't wait to gobble it all down. Then I spot it! The male Asda employee proudly sporting the company name on his uniform and serving the food from the barbeque (handling bread rolls to cut them open, along with burgers etc without gloves) decides to investigate the inside of his nostrils with a finger! He has a good old scavenge around, withdraws his finger, looks at the content of his nostrils obviously lodged in his fingernail and promptly puts his finger in his mouth, where he really does make a meal of whatever he removed by twisting and turning the finger until its clean. He then looked at his obviously clean finger, wiped it down his uniform (because it was wet of course) and picked up the next bread roll to sell on. I have seen women, as well as men carry out this filthy excavation, not that anybody will admit to it of course, but honestly have you ever heard or seen anything so disgusting? Makes me feel sick just thinking about it. Wonder what we don't see, and also wonder if Asda will continue to support the bogey burger? Hence the thread title Yuck, yuck, yuck! |

I make a point of never trying taster testers after seeing a similar act, the customer took a tasty morsal from a tray to try, didn't like it and put it back on the tray after rolling around his mouth, a mum came along and was going to give it to her kiddie, I told her not to and why...we told the assistant and she threw them all in the bin. |

I know health and safety can be carried too far sometimes, but this is one instance where it is important! As you said ... Yuck!! I am not a fan of Asda anyway. |

He's only been there a few months... I reported him to Asda Head Office and guess what they said? "The Manager has complete control, he makes the decisions!" He would merely have thought I was on a recovery mission, so what was the point, but make no mistake he will get his just deserts. Besides, how could I prove it, the evidence was gone! lol |
