I worked at both the old Outer Drive Stamping Plant (now called Mount Elliott Tool and Die) and Mound Road Engine (now called Warren Truck Assembly). There are several other plants still operating in the Detroit area. |

I have never been in the forces but my surveying time took me to many military bases. This was at Aldershot and the it was the PARAS section we were on when this very LARGE voice shouted "Oi you come 'ere!! " It seemed it was me being yelled at and I was then escorted to the RSM's CO at the guardroom. Turned out great umbridge was taken at a scruffy long haired character in welly boots (ME) strolling diagonally accross the parade ground with a sledge hammer over my shoulder!!. After an apology and a promise to get my very dog eared pass replaced all was well .Oh and always walk around a parade ground unless you are being drilled. |

It's amazing the jobs people have these days where they do them by computer in thier homes... more then in "home" base back in Detroit. I did my concept car with the scouts one year...they wouldn't let me enter it for the races though as it was for the kids. I rather liked my "pink" car...and it beat my hubby's car and some of the other Scouts...even if I was disqualified for being an mother. My son took first palce though. |
