Hi Enid and welcome to POE from Anna and Ron.

In response to your question, I would say that London is anything but boring and sleepy. So many people, attractions, theatres, restaurants, transport facilities, black taxis in what really is a wealthy, multi-cultural City. Just so much to see and do and certainly not boring unless you are driving around trying to find your way out! LOL

Wouldn't call it boring and sleepy, only been a handful of times and there was always something going on. But i'll stick with the Lakes, the Dales and the Yorkshire Moors thanks.

I'm not from London but I visit the city almost every month and I would never say it's a boring and sleepy place! On the contrary, it is always busy and there's always things to do in London for all the tribes... A point I should make is that it is a BIG city guys, so unless you have made the most out of your time there, it's hard to say if the place is boring or if your experience was boring. :)

I've been there a few times and it's a very interesting city to visit a few days, but I have to agree with Dave ; I rather have the countryside.

I once visited Ireland and I still remember the advise given to me by an Irishman; if you want to see Ireland, go away from Dublin. Perhaps to same advise can be given to those who want the see England?
