Okay he did drugs, got caught, served his time and continued with the sport that he obviously loves. I say give him a second chance, what say you members? |

Look back to July 1967 Tour de France Tom Simpson, another highly talented athlete, died on Mont Ventoux having drugged himself upto the eyeballs and beyond. Just like Chambers he knew exactly what he was doing only the controls and tests were far less stringent in those days. He was caught and is still alive he should be thankful for that alone. No problem with him staying in the sport but not as an international competitor. He has paid the price and can do some good work by training kids and impressing on them how he ruined his own career by trying to buck the system. Apart from that I agree with James, he's probably past it now anyway. Keep drugs where they belong....locked up in a pharmacy (or the back streets of every town and city). I rest my case m'Lud |

Wonder how many others have done drugs and got away with it? I think they are making an example of the bloke for the right reasons, but a little harsh maybe?

They have disgraced the sport, their country and not least themselves. They gotta pay. Think on this one Ron, these top guys get funding, not just from sponsors but also from the various sports councils that can be traced back to our taxes! ! ! ! |

Also maybe he should get a job and pay for his own training, transport and competition, that might make him realise what he has done. |
