My opinion is simply that Roy Hodgson isn't the man for England. If by some chance he does get the job, then again in my opinion the FA are not fit for purpose; meaning they are not doing what is best for the England squad and/or Country.

Harry Redknap is liked and well known by most I suspect, and it would be a crying shame if he didn't get the England job!

football was never a sport i was ever interested in -i much prefer the oval ball where men are men   -not prima-donas.

getting back to roy hodgson ,he seems a very nice chap but i dont think he will bring us back to world class as a footballing nation.

firstly we have not got the world class english players to select a winning team  -there are too many foreign players in our game to warrant a successful challenge on the international stage.

I really think it is time the English teams became ENGLISH teams again so they have a decent pool to call on when ENGLAND needs to form a representative team!!

i dont think he will be a great manager John but maybe a good one ----lets not forget we have only had a great manager in Alf Ramsey         which has always been a very hard act to follow---i only hope he turns things around and gets up on top again.Smile

I guess I shouldn't say this but when I think of England..I don't think of football....I think of  "Polo".."Horse Racing"..."soccor".....and  "golf" in ways. We won the NBA Trophy one year...1977....the city went

estatic...anyone hated anyone else...they forgot it,,, was hugging each other all over town...none of this viloent stuff of today when people win....tear the heck out of the town.  It really brought all sections of the city together...closed up it's numerous divisions of ethic groups as one also....but they have never been able to do itsince then and this year they were at thier worse for some reason. Kind of sad in ways. When I think if football outside the US, I think of Canada. For one thing they arent' so far away that we can't drive up there to watch their teams for most Americans. Good luck...you guys know these people better then I do.
