That will probably be the only cake I get for my birthday...as I have my yearly Doctor's appt come this Monday. But at least I can say I have an card full of blinking lights, flowers and butterflies and music and now one good looking cup cake!!! Smiles*I went out for my dinner tonight...and I stayed an very good girl..with salmon on almond slices and dried cherry- rice Pilaf, and tossed green salad, steamed veggies,. dinner roll and strawberry lemonaide...and he brought home only two pieces of sugar free Apple pie for later on tonight...one each. I think I'll go an make some fresh coffee. |

Sk Lawson Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | quotePosted at 19:02 on 14th June 2012 It went "quick" for the most part yesterday..thank you all for the birthday wishes..it means an lot to me these days. the "thing" about going out to eat...is we all got together one time and instead of an party deceided we'd go individually price wise and put in an dollar or so for the birthday meal of the person having the birthday..but as many are dieting...not as popular as it use to be..but it was one way everyone could come.. and even bring an guest or so and make it the more the merrier...so the dinner is the "recongition" by others of celebrating the date. I noticed not one politican told me "Happy Birthday" as I help support them daily in grand style. HA!... Ron would love knowing that in ways..he's not the only one they at times don't pay any heed to I guess. Several places over here stateside had earthquakes yesterday on June 13...looks like southern California with their 4.1 came in the largest..no damage to them. So..on we go into another year! |

Everyone over here is so budget conscious these days (including me)..... any more the first thing they give up is the parties they can't deduct expenses on in some way...and they only have get togethers for " business reasons" most the time also. |
