a middle aged couple were killed in there car when a Landslide of tons of mud buried them alive .

Rosemary Sell and her friend Michael Rolfe  lay buried for ten days before rescuers recovered          their bodies, days after police recovered their bodies -thieves targeted mrs Sells home and stole        hundres of pounds worth of antiques --i dont think you can stoop much lower than that do you?.        i only hope they are caught quickly and made to pay. Whipping comes to mind.

I agree..but I know it's the now thing to do if your an young person in need of anything. If you can't obtain it yourself..then you steal it. Opps, did I say that word..I mean..."borrow it" in some way.I had an car sitting out front most of yesterday and they towed it away...most likley stolen, and parked there as they ditched it...a older gold colored "buick". Expenisve car at one time.

I read about that James and was really sickened by it.

There was, to my mind, an even sicker report  a while back about a lady who was knocked down and killed in an accident, an older male passing by, dashed in and pinched her handbag!!

Don't you just have to wonder what makes them do this kind of thing? I would bet the lack of money is high on the list, followed by a lone parent upbringing, drugs, alcohol induced, but you know what? We never got into trouble like this as kids, and we would never have dreamed of doing such awful things.

Totally beyond belief, and as you say above James.....scumbags!

The very thought of thieves stealing from a dead lady's home after such a tragedy is absolutely sickening. It's moral decay just as Ron described it. What happened to parents teaching their children right from wrong?

Also, valuable antiques are usually catalogued somewhere. Perhaps these people will be brought to justice by the act of trying to sell them. It's possible a DCI and a Seargant will be able to track them down pretty darn quick these days.

Usually this type of crime is a low priority. But at times even policemen get really angry about stealing from the dead. It's tantamount to grave robbing.
