My car was 21 yrs. old,,though ean and looked brand new,,with only 74,000 miles,,the blue book value is only $1,800.00.

i had it insured for everthing else,,,,Looks like we will be looking at new ones this weekend,i am only emotionally attached to it, it was my fathers before he gave it to me,,( i had no car for 18 yrs,before i got the car in 2005..

Aaawwwww Rick! Even more special that your dad gave it to you. And for it to be 21 years old, wow! Funny how we get so attached to our belongings. I had my first car for 11 years before my ex made me give it up. He was too afraid to ride in it because it was low to the ground. It was a Ford Pinto 1979, 4 on the floor. I loved that car! I hope you can find another car that you truly love to drive and becomes just as special. Pretty cool that you take such good care of them! Smile
