  Hey Ron--- Job Done !

Have done them a mail and also looked at Burgess Hill, no banner and only two pics. I went all that way and to a camera shop ( other places as well but not photographic) and did not take any pics- now that is rather re-miss of me I do declare.

Another visit to 'Park Cameras' coming maybe?

Any excuse eh Vince?

Dreams Beds, Botley Road, Oxford from where my mate bought and paid in full on the day for a bed frame and mattress. He also paid £29.00 for it to be assembled on delivery (another £39.00) but when it arrived parts were missing. He had to make other sleeping arrangements, and the parts would be delivered 'next week'. They still haven't arrived!

Dreams Head Office Customer Services at High Wycombe refunded the £29 assembly charge, but it doesn't alter the fact that the initial contact with the Manager at the Botley Road Store was rude, ignorant and arrogant stating "I don't get paid enough to help you".

I suggest you avoid Dreams Beds, Botley Road Store like the plague.

A bad report about Tim North & Associates Ltd in Reading RG8 7LR.

I called this company, known to a friend of mine (Ken) for many years and who has previously worked for Ken.

Ken had asked me to call Tim North to discuss a Planning Application which he found too complicated to determine. He asked that I speak on his behalf.

I left a message with Tim North twice since Saturday last, asking for a return call. It didn't happen and so I called again tonight, the third call. I was met with a "you're very rude and I don't want to speak to you". He was referring to my two previous calls where I had given him an option to say either yes I will work for Ken, or no I'm not interested. That is all, there is nothing more to it whatsoever, nothing that I haven't told you.

The truth is that Tim North for some reason doesn't like me personally, but that should not cloud his business sense. Therefore, my advice to anybody considering using Tim North & Associates Ltd in Reading is think again, because in my opinion he is not a very nice person and seems to care little about anybody, but himself.

HEART OF THE LAKES, AMBLESIDE

Forgot about this thread at the time back in October.....

I had been in my usual cottage in Ambleside, courtesy of the owner, not the agency, Heart of the Lakes as above. When I got home and was unpacking the car I realised to my horror that I did not have a bag which contained all my camera battery chargers and other related items!! A phone call on the Saturday afternoon to them confirmed that they said bag had been handed in by the cleaners. A quick mail  to the owner followed who then made contact with HOTL and agreement was made for them to post the bag to me. Wednesday or Thursday of that week I rang HOTL to check and they told me the bag was to be in the post that night along with the request would I send a cheque to the value of what was shown on the parcel !! The parcel arrived on the Saturday, 1 week after I had left the premises and my cheque was in the post the same day. I have never had any dealings with HOTL so this to my mind is just amazing customer service. So, for anyone looking for cottage holidays in the Lake District I would have no hesitation in recommending Heart of the Lakes.

Most of us read about the refusal to sell alchohol by an M&S employee (because it was against her/his religion) so for that reason retailer Marks & Spencer gets themself a place on the thread: POE List for Service Comments Good or Bad.

In my opinion this is 'Bad Service' so shame on you Marks & Spencer and after 50 years of using your store, we won't be shopping with you again until you put this right, and the  only way you can do that is to dismiss he/she who won't do as the employer, not unreasonably, requires him/her to do during the course of employment!

I have got to post a great service comment tonight

Guess what, I have to say POE has reacted so quickly and sorted out to add OR subtract a pic from the for sale list. I loaded one shot last night and forgot to tick the box to mark it for sale and it was a shot that would fall into the for sale category ( I should be so lucky ) . At the same time I realised that some of my pics would not really be suitable for sale and then the old chestnut of N.T. , some of my shots are taken of their property from within their boundary , so I guess these shots would be questionable for sale.

We now have an option the add or subtract pics from the for sale list,   so I have to say Thank You C & S -great service as always and with such a bucket load to be done behind the scene- much appreciated.

Vodafone Yell

Three years ago I bought a Vodafone dongle for the laptop, it was a true PAYG one, you topped up £15 and so long as you used it at least once every 6 months you kept your credit. It was ideal because we only use it when we holiday in place with no internet.

Everything was fine until a power cut a couple of days ago. I put it in the laptop, it connected to the mobile Vodafone whatever. I checked my balance £19.21 in credit. All well so far.

Then I opened Safari to connect to POE, all I got is the Vodafone web site telling me to select a payment plan, odd, I don't want or have a payment plan, it's a Top Up and use. So I then go through the process of logging into my account. The username and password that I've been using since day one is no longer recognised. The forgot user name and password facility takes me round in an endless loop of hopelessness. No re sent password from them via email, in fact no nothing. I tried to re register, nope not having any of that, my SIM is already registered with an email address/ username - yes mine, but it won't let me in.

I spent nearly an hour going round in circles. I've tried again since the power came back using wi-fi, hopeless. So I have the address of head office now - a letter of complaint with be in the post first thing tomorrow morning.

Mobile phone companies have the worst web sites in the world (apart from Ryan Air) Orange, now EE is just as bad.

So I'll wait and see what happens next, I hope they don't think they're doing me out of £19.21 they've picked on the wrong person if they do.
