Ah yes, I had forgotten for the moment - they have whiskey and haggis!

They could also wait, as James so wittily said, wait for the Vikings to come again but in this modern world it would more likely be the Chinese!

From the reports on peoples opinion in Scotland (at present anyhow) it seems like it's not going to happen. Two thirds or so have already stated in various polls that they wish to remain in the UK.
