I have watched 'New Tricks' on a regular basis, and can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the series, but somebody has changed things and I don't think it's for the better. In fact the whole theme of the programme has gone out the window I reckon.

So now we have the new 'New Tricks' and having watched it for three weeks I can tell you that I won't be watching again. Boring, boring, booooring!

What say you members?

Sorry Ron have not seen Old or New New tricks so cannot say but as always someone always seems to want to tweak these things and it goes out of the window-- "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind.

Haven't watched any of the new series but did enjoy the older ones. James Bolam ain't in it is he so that might be part of the problem.

I agree with that entirely Vince, and yes Dave it was James Bolam that left recently for some reason. Certainly no good now, and not worth watching any longer in my opinion.

I have so enjoyed watching the old "New Tricks" although I don't think we've gotten the new version yet here in the US.  It would not be the same without James Bolam for sure.

I think Vince sums it up really Barabara in saying "If it aint broke, don't fix it". Probably a new broom been told to 'spice things up a bit' get the audience figures up. That being the case, I think he/she has failed miserably and I for one won't be watching it again.

I may be wrong, but I thought I'd heard that this was the last series ever. Amanda Redman and Dennis Waterman both want to move on to other things. It certainly lost something when James Bolam left. I still enjoy repeats of the old ones though.

I coudn't agree more the new series isn't any where as good as previous series. But i think the last two episodes were in fact quite good.
