I didn't know Peter personally, but it is wonderful that his pictures remain on PoE as a memorial to him. I would like to think that his family must know that he is fondly remembered on PoE. I know that in the Amateur Radio fraternity, a deceased member is referred to as a 'Silent Key', maybe in the Photography world it should be a 'Silent Shutter' . I also thought perhaps there should be some indication on the PoE Member List when it is reliably known that a Member has passed on, to avoid unintended embarrassment and upset to their family should they be contacted via e-mail. |
