   Souper.

                   Trouble is if it is a rainy day not much happens other than spectators falling/ sliding of the slippery grass/mud mounds- to this day do not know how we stayed upright.

                   Remember one day in the stands at the head of the strip and the noise/smell/vibration as the rail was backed right up to where we were for the burn out. Dennis Priddle then went on to run Englands first ever sub 7 second run and everything went electric there, nowadays the runs are being done in 3. something seconds.

     you can do that with an engine doing 5 or 6 gallons to the mile !!!

     oops sorry gone off track writing all that.
