A local lady gave the kiss of life, but nobody appears to have said thank you to those involved, so from us all at POE....Thank you! What say you members? |

As an island nation, we are surrounded by water and even when inland, we are never very far from water, and so often, we underestimate the dangers. George Reeder is undoubtedly a hero and the others involved in the rescue are too. We should be grateful for the professionalism of all the Lifeboat Crews, Dock Masters, Harbour Masters, Lock Keepers, Life Guards, Coast Guards and the many others who keep a watchful eye over our watery places. |

Best of it was, when interviewed by the television crew George Reeder more or less walked away giving the impression perhaps that it was 'all in a days work'. A great guy, very well done George Reeder you deserve a bravery award for what you did! Edited by: Ron Brind at:29th January 2013 09:39 |

Lets hope they see this thread. |
