Neither fort is near the coast, so that leaves these two for further investigation, Cathy, Mike ?

I think the top one may be the East coast of Yorkshire looking at the erosion !! Which means all that could have gone since the photo was taken, it's vanishing at an alarming rate.

There are two large buildings in the background on the bottom one, but zooming in just blurs them, difficult to determine what they are.

I've just been having a closer look at this one, if you zoom in there are some cliffs in the background which look very similar to The Needles, I was at first thinking this picture might be taken in the Hornsea, Skipsea area of looking towards Flamborough chalk cliffs but now I'm not sure. There are no sea stacks off that particular area of Flamborough. I'm going to have a look around some I.O.W photos.

I was wondering if these might be along the Jurassic Coast - isn't that partly taken care of by the National Trust?  Checking it out!

Could that formation be something like the Durdle Door area?

This photo of Seatown Dorset has a similar wave pattern on the gravel beach and possibly the photo from the top of the cliff would give this sort of view!

I'm not happy with I.O.W Cathy, that breakwater doesn't feature anywhere near where the photo could be taken from. It doesn't feature in East yorkshire either, but that means nothing it could have been reclaimed by the sea since Robert took this photo.

Cathy, this looks very like the Jurassic Coast, we walked along a beach very similar in a howling gale 2 years ago.

We were parked in Seaton, and walked away from the town and along the beach.
