A slant on the all time radio favourite Desert Island Discs. Everyone has favourites for many reasons and quite often multi choice, but I want 3 single answers

What is your all time favourite BOOK

What is your all time favourite FILM

What is your all time favourite SONG.....can be instrumental

Remember . . . .ONE answer to each only........not easy I know

Dave I reckon this is going to tell a thing or two about he/she who dares to answer!

Books? Well I don't read books if I can help it, normally only to find out how to start some new technology.

Films? I am the worlds worst when it comes to any film 'story', rather watch a documentary.

Song? Waltz Across Texas - Ernest Tubb. Meaningful lyrics, great song for us 'Country Boys'.

Book - If I could get it in one huge volume - all the Pern books by Anne McCaffrey - if that's not possible then I'll take Lord of the Rings

Film - That's a difficult one I rarely watch films -  Same as above - the 4 Hobbit movies rolled into one!

Song - What only one - not even a full CD? - Vivaldi's  The Four Seasons

Oh Dear, not read books as in novels since the glasses arrived, most reading is snippets from non fiction when trying to gen up on something, but by far am much more at home reading a MAP , preferably one West of the Tamar.

Film:- After due deliberation I have settled on--

Two Lane Blacktop, a road movie,  Just four main characters without names The Driver, The Mechanic, The Girl and GTO. Hardly any dialogue. Plenty of  life on the drag strip and an ending and a half.

Song, Dave you did say instrumental-  again more deliberation but I will go with Pergamon  by Tangerine Dream  with extracts of LOGOS a close second.
