If you could have lived in a different Era in Britain, which would it be.? l never showed interest in history in my youth but when l married for some un known reason l chose a Tudor style wedding dress and veil, which l  loved but gave away. Then when l reached middle age l found l had a real interest in the Tudor Times.l have so many hobbies its hard to fit any more into my day so l plan next winter to do some research. So if you could what period of time would you have liked to visit?

Jackie after seeing what a vicious lot we English were years ago, I am thankful that I am living through the current period. That said, when they look back at us100 years from now they might think we are a vicious lot also.

Interesting question again, well done. I bet that James will be staying put also.....no Grouse in those Tudor days eh?

Roman times for me, always fancied a big villa with underfloor heating a bath house, nice garden, fresco painted walls and several amphora of wine. Don't know how I'd have managed all those fancy dresses though being a jeans and t-shirt person. Wouldn't have wanted to live in times of poor hygene, and I think we've always had a tendency to be a visious lot.

Probably choose the 1920, early 30's.  But only if I wasn't poor!!
