Luckely the Tour du France has started. Sadly enough without Bradley Wiggins or a Dutch team.

And a rather entertaining 1st day Fred??? Bit better today I thought. Froome made his intentions clear I think with that little burst towards the end of the day..

Yes, just 1 second behind the yellow jersey. And his time will come in the Alps and Pyrenees, without a doubt.

Should be a very interesting and enjoyable race. Don't know much about what Contador has done this season but pretty sure thet Froome will have him covered,

Wouldn't quite go that far Ron!! He's the best chance this island has had fo more years than I care to, or possibly can, remember!!!! I have not been watching but at least lets hope for British winner. At least he doesn't seem to have the typical English attitude of 'Oh well there's always next year'

Seems to me that with the 'best' players already out, he has his best opportunity ever and still doesn't look special to me.

All I see is him and Henman as bookends! lol

Ron......Henman couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper bag. If you'll excuse the pun, at least Murray does some to have some balls ! ! !

We've still got a fair chance of another British winner in the Tour de France to. Really starts in earnest tomorrow with the first of the mountains stages in the Pyrenees. The coin a phrase could be a 'Clash of the Titans' as the main contenders for the overall win will be out to test each other ...... should be good watching   Live on ITV 4 from 1.30 with highlights at 7pm. I'll be watching the highlights most likely.
