  Well done Ruth, I was getting nowhere here, mulling it over as I pressed today and now I have reread I see I completely mis understood John's first post- and well done John for a clever quizzy.

Vince, it was John's love of transport especially aircraft which got me thinking on those lines, otherwise I would have struggled too. It was a good quizzy. I'd better get thinking.

I never did a CID course Vince, but I did work on several  murder enquiries, I have a bit of a weird memory which came in very useful.

OK here goes.

I may have been born with a full head of hair, which is ironic as my hair thinned somewhat in later life. I should possibly have had blue or grey eyes but I didn't. I knew my mother very well for a long number of years.

OK here's a clue.

I only had one child a daughter who sadly died in childbirth. This incident resulted in a massive conflict between myself and her widowed husband.
