Hi everyone we are in for a barbecue special today with our Welsh friends from down the coast.

Neil's doing the barbe as usual interspaced with a few G & Ts it stops the smoke from getting on the throat  or that my excuse LOL

Quite morning here....spent half the night up with the cat and his itching problems..it looks like an biblical problem maybe..I put deep healing aloe lotion on him.  Rained last night and more coming...Grits moved into her new house..an dream of her for years now, she's on vacation for ran week..get things hooked up an unpacked.. Mark's mother in law will have her feeding tubes pulled off her after Monday...our prayer circle is working with that to give each and everyone some way to cope with her death. China was hit with the super typhoon this morning..still awaiting the out come of that one also. Grandson's are drinking hot cocoa and dunking marshmellows...reheated their last of the pizza from last night....I just had my first piece of pumpkin pie with whip cream for the season...and working on the cup of coffee. Other then that, just kind of an quite morning.

Ron, when we move in our house the upstairs was finished off but the down stairs we finished ourselves...after the first winter, and we lost all power, the woodstove seemed to us an bit of an necessity,second winter we went downstairs and waited out the storm, again having lost all our electricity...at one time I came upstairs...we have an door between the levels...and the entire upstairs was "frosted" over without any heat...looked like some kind of an winter wonderland upstairs. No matter where you swiped your finger, there was an heavy frost.I think we were two days without any electricity then. while Downstairs was different...we had taken our top mattress down there and with the woodstove and the propane BBQ off the back patio, we made it quite well, we had running water so that was no problem...food was no problem either. but one reason I kind of always see to it we can make it without electricity if we have to every year. Things seem better now as there's more people living in the area, so they work harder to maintain services. But I've never forgotten those early days. My text is jumping around on me this morning... so guess I'll leave for now.

Morning everyone. Will be setting off in a short while to take eldest daughter to a private hospital in Cheadle, Cheshire for an independant report on the state of her back after the botched operation last year, which almost cost her her life. I don't think they are going to miss the tennis ball sized hole at the base of her spine, which was left following an operation to remove one and a half litres of brain fluid which had gathered there over a period of 6 months.

The parties involved have now admitted liability but a report is needed by the solicitors from an independant body before an offer of compensation is made. Hopefully the matter will be settled soon.

Love and best wishes to your daughter from Anna and I hoping you get the result that you want for her. Can't begin to imagine what she has gone through, or you for that matter.

A word of caution Ruth; be careful what and how you refer to those involved other than your daughter of course, wouldn't want you to shoot yourself in the foot just as things were drawing to a conclusion.

I got an scamming telephone call yesterday asking for an donation to the Native Americans covering five states in the Southwest of the Us...I knew the real Native Americans would have nothing to do with this...but the topper of it all was, when I asked the person if they knew "Dr. John Ross" and they said, "Oh yes, an Cherokee"...Dr. John Ross is an Sioux Indian that represented the Sioux Nation as an Ambassador to the United Nations many years ago. He is very very well known....so whom I was talking to I have no idea...they ended up hanging up on me, as I kept telling them, I couldn't hear them very well....I think it was abou the time I said "I can't hear you..you wanna give me what?" they were asking for money...as if I had any..what an laugh! Houses on both sides of me went up for sale..one .our "ex" banker use to live in here, and an house on the other side was my neighor's "ex" husband's God parents...though whom they sold it to years ago I have no idea.  They were running some kind of an business out of it at one time. they must by now be really really old people.
