This increase will bring their annual salary to £74,000 and in my book that is at least £44,000 too much! Bl...y disgraceful, what say you members? |

We are ruled by an oligarchy of self-serving cronies whose sole function is to maximise their personal wealth at the expense of the tax-payer. This principle extends also to Local Government, the BBC, Charities, the NHS, Quangos, and to the biggest gravy train of them all, the EU. Yes, even Nigel Farage as an MEP gets paid more than twice as much as a Westminster MP !! Edited by: Edward Lever at:8th December 2013 21:52 |

I think he says what most of us want to say, but will never get the chance. At least we get a return from Nigel Farage, which is hard to find with the other gaggle of irks! It seems to be common to so many organisations these days, which was the drift of my original post. There is a detailed report by the ONS (Office of National Statistics) which confirms that wages are rising faster for the wealthy, (as if we did not already know that) see ONS report

A huge amount of charity work is voluntary, so being unpaid work, it is not included in this particular report. For those charity workers who are paid, I imagine they would have been captured under the category of Chief Executives & Senior Officials. The chart at the end of the report shows the ratio of the lowest to highest pay by region. In London, the ratio is about 16 times, and in the South-East generally, it is about 10 times. As you say, within any given zone there will be areas of wealth and areas of deprivation, so within London, for example, you would find many more high earners in Kensington & Chelsea than in Tottenham. The report averages out local variations. What I find shocking is the extreme difference in pay rates between the bottom 1% of the population sample and the top 1%. It means that for someone in London who is struggling on the national minimum wage of £6.31 per hour, there is also someone in the top 1% who is getting at least £101 per hour. Posts: Joined: 1st Jan 1970 | The thieving pigs have a clever system. No longer do they set their own pay rates. They set up an "independant" panel to give them a rise then the panel can take the flack. The pigs are now grunting on TV about how they do not want the money !! Some of the scum have complained that they are paid less than doctors !!!!!! can you believe these idiots. on another note Notice how Cameron speaks very highly of the coke snorting millionaire booby girl who turns cooking and spoon licking in to an erotic fantasy. |
