My Husband Bernard had a TKR four years ago and hasn't looked back, we did our first walk with his Knee six weeks after his  op on the Quantock Hills, i still can't keep up with him,

I am due for a hip Replacement on the 25th April,

There you go Ron, you'll soon be hiking the Quantocks Smile

Good luck with the hip op Pat, I believe it's less painful than the knee Smile

Yes i understand it is as well  Ruth, i think i will have both done,

Bern has been briliant right from day one of his TKR, i supose perhaps its because we have always walked on Dartmoor ,  which is very rough walking,

I think walking is one of the best ways of keeping fit and mobile Pat, certainly keeps you going walking the hills and moors around here as well.

you are right Ruth, But we are not so sure if we will get back onto Dartmoor  where we loved walking , as its a long way to travel and its going to be a while before i will be able to do long walks again, Still we have the Quantocks close by also plenty of coast paths,
