Left Ambleside 7am in rain which got heavier on the M6 but eased off to reveal clear skies and sun getting nearer to Manchester. Bit breezy on M62 round the little house on the prairie and a wee bit blustery at Windy Hill, which is so very well named!! Arrived home 9.50 in bright sunshine.

Good news about the BP Pat Smile

At least it wasn't snowing at Windy Hill Dave, that's happened before in May. That's the junction we always use to get on/come off the M62 and it's very rarely nice weather up there.

Its a windy one again today. I'm staying indoors.

Right now the house is full of the aroma of freshly baked whole wheat herb bread. I'm counting down the minutes until I can have my first slice, slathered with butter.

Did you paint the kitty, Ruth?
