Animals not unreasonably bite when they are cornered, but can there be any justification for a supposedly professional to do such a thing? I think he should be banned for a very long time indeed. It seems to me that all the money in the world and a fan club that appreciates his skills are not enough. I say kick him out, period! What say you members? |

I didn't see the incident, but my mum did and she said he tried to blame the Italian player for shouldering him in the mouth. So not only a cheat, but a liar and certainly a very poor example of a sportsman - yes, ban him Ron, for good. |

Common assault in my opinion so into Court and get what you deserve! Nothing short of a lifetime ban for me. |

It falls in between Common where the injury is very minor and GBH, Grevious Bodily Harm, where obviously the injuries are much more serious but not life threatening. I agree he should be arrested and dealt with by the Police, as would happen if that attack had been anywhere but on a football pitch. If I were the Italian chap I'd be calling for this sort of action. |

I would give him a simple choice, accept a ban for life or have every tooth removed! The best of it is some in Office are saying "i didn't see him bite anyone" and "these sort of things happen in football". If that's the case those who 'didn't see' need removing from their position also. B.....y disgraceful and in my opinion it certainly isn't a sporting gesture!

I reckon they should be concerned if they want to sell their products, and need to be seen to be sqeaky clean.
