I remember when i had my Motor Bike i think the first price was around 4shillings and 6pence that was in 1962 Smile

Funny, I remember beer at 1/9d and when you consider my Ford Poplar was taking fuel at 3/6d a gallon I didn't drink too much. lol

In those days you could drink (no breathalyser of course) and dirve, but I think you could still get done if you was stopped for 'Drunk Driving'.

Maybe Ruth can confirm, meaning you might have heard of it Ruth, not that you are our age for example? lol

Where i lived it was a small "pit" village and the local pc was always in the pub with you --he only cautioned the ones who took his money off him playing dominoesSmile

It's creeping up here too Dave, it was £1.03 per litre now it's up at £1.09
