New Forest Mushrooms 'Fungi Foraging' - No Longer!

Apparently the age old 'hobby' of foraging for mushrooms 'fungi' of all kinds is now banned in the New Forest, Hants because some people have been taking 15 to 20 kilo's per day! That sounds like a commercial venture to me so is it right to stop people foraging in the Countryside to protect the thousand plus species there?

Do you live near the New Forest, does it affect you and if so what are your thoughts?

Do you consider it your right to collect/forage fungi from the New Forest?

I wonder how long it will be before they try to stop us taking the nuts from the trees, picking a leaf, the flowers, collecting dead wood maybe?

The world has gone mad, although in the case of Commercial picking for monetary reward it does make you wonder.

Some people are greedy and would have your false teeth away if you opened your mouth long enough so can you blame the authorities for trying to protect the Forest?
