I took my car for an MOT and while I was waiting, a fella who had been delivering car parts came back. Chris (the owner) asked him why had he had come back and he said just round the corner he spotted a duck sitting on top of a drain cover with 5 baby ducklings next to her. She was making a hell of a noise and he could hear some ducklings calling back to her, he went an investigated and saw 6 baby ducklings down the drain! He said he couldn't just leave them so came back to see if she had a crowbar to lever off the drain cover. All 3 of us trooped over there and eventually we got the cover off, he lifted out the ducklings and I guided them to their Mother, as soon as she knew they were all safe she just waddled off LOL not even a thankyou! In the end she had 13 baby ducklings following her!!! Ahhh they are so sweet, its a pity I never had my camera with me. |

I saw ducks, ducklings and geese wandering around everywhere. It was fabulous and something I would never see here in London. We have Canada geese but they have become more of a nuisance than anything else. By the way Lyn, what is an MOT? |
