I live in Devon. My mother has a cob cottage. The walls are 3ft thick in places. It was built around 1700. There is a builder near us who still builds in cob. Look up the village of BROADHEMBURY in Devon. You will find photos on the internet. Most of the cottages there are built of cob with thatched roofs. Lyn |

Look at the UK National Trust website and you will find plenty. A particularly interesting one is BARRINGTON COURT. It has a wonderful kitchen garden and grows very unusual vegetables. Lyn |
