I love some of the features on this web site. I love the scrolling pictures on the Home Page, I can always find a picture I've never seen before, like the one I'm posting below. And I love the scroll bar at the top of the thread page, that is where I saw Roy's Long-tailed Tit because I had somehow missed it on the Latest Pictures page.

Anyway, this picture by Lorraine is wonderful. Got to love those bright green spring leaves.

Thanks for posting my Allenbanks picture Sue.  I hope to visit Allenbanks and Stawards Gorge again next  weekend when I'm in Northumberland,  so perhaps I'll get some winter views.  It's a beautiful place.

I love Roy's picture of the long tailed tit , they are lovely little birds.

Andy, this is a super shot. I love the red at tree branches, adding a little colour to the winter scene.

Is that a thin sheet of ice on the water?

It is Sue. I'm glad you like it. The red you can see is thousands of berries, rowan I think, which, along with all the other rowan bushes on the reserve attracted 300 or so fieldfares and 50 or so redwings yesterday. What a sight!!

Berries, wow!

And I just enlarged it again and see the birds in the tree above it.

Andy has done it again (no surprise there) with his pictures.

I love this shot, the church looks perfect through the branches of the tree.

Great work Andy.

A nice place to sit if you're a frog, or anything else come to think of it.
