I believe they both use the Cannon eos 40D camera's. They may be able to help you out. Sorry I cant help with Cannon cameras. But basicaly all DSLRs are very similar, so if you post specific questions on camera setting's, most people on here would be able to help. |

Two of my friends bought Canon 40D's this year and their photos show the 40D is more than capable of very good results. Indeed, one of them used it for a wedding this summer, and produced an album that any couple would be proud to show off, just as it's predessor the 30D I used performed as expected doing a wedding last year. You didn't say what your expectations were, but I'm sure this camera, along with lenses to match, will do an excellent job of your photos. |

It must be somthing I am doing wrong, I have been on a lot of web sites copying other peoples settings but still struggling. Thanks again |

One thing you have to remember is you can't just expect to achieve fantastic images straight out of the camera. You do have to work hard for it, and you do need to have a basic knowledge of photography to achieve it. Blurring can be either too slow shutter speed or out-of-focus image. It's not possible to tell without looking at examples. There are so many issues involved, and they are all inter-related, e.g. focal length, light level, ISO used, shutter speed, aperture, etc etc. So I would advise you to get the basics right first (getting a book or magazine would be a good idea) then start from there. Hope this helps and good luck!
BTW, It's CANON, not Cannon. Edited by: Gemm Ferrane at:5th December 2008 14:39 |

I have been to your web page and seen the absolutely fantastic work that you have done (I advise anyone who has not seen Gemm's web page to go take a look http://www.pbase.com/gemmf ). I doubt I'll ever be as good as you, but with your advice on the forums I intend to get better. Thank you! |
