You certainly got it right when you said "where there's a gate there's a view!" Lovely. Whenever I see a picture of a stile, I remember how my friend and I laughed when we were in Upper Slaughter and I climbed over the stile, put my feet on the ground on the other side, and promptly walked out of my shoes which were stuck in the black muck. We laughed until we cried, and she has never let me forget that. |
