Hi Barbara. I just experienced your tour (Thatch me if you can.) I spent a bit of time on Audley Road Essex, Sandy lane in Wiltshire, and at Hardy's in Dorset, but truly it was a wonderful tour for me. Thank you for putting it together. Truly enjoyed!

Thanks George. Silly as it sounds I haven't been to central Birmingham for about 16 years! My late mother-in-law lived in Harborne for the last few years of her life. It is a shame you didn't get to visit the Black Country Museum - I would have had some more pictures then for my Black Country tour! Glad you enjoyed it.

Stephanie I cant wait to read you explanation of  the name Black Country. I know you will have a better explanation that I could possibly give although I am very proud of my Black Country heretage. Walsall is only just in so to speak, but we are the saddlers and proud if it.

I have had the termerity to put a picture tour together tonight called "Sheep may safely graze", I didn't realize that it would go automatically on to the tour site, thought I could edit and tidy it up a bit first and then put it on the tours, so please forgive the muddle, I will have fun sorting it out and adding to it.  Who knew there were so many pictures of sheep? Although on reflection one does tend to see sheep in many of the more lovely hilly places in EnglandLaughing
