Hello All, My Grandson has lovely blue eyes, He recently had some photo's done professionally and is eyes were perfect. When I take them his eyes look dull and grey. Any tips would be greatly received, either in the taking of the picture or touching up in the software. Regards Craig.

hmmmm   not to sure, not my strong point at all portraits!   all i can suggest is try masking the eye and increasing the blue/ cyan saturation a little???  may work.

Also different flash settings work sometimes, i'm not sure which works the best but there's lots of tricks to diffuse light, and maybe keep some of the natural blue?   White balance settings on the camera may help too, but usually the auto setting would be ok i'd have thought for portraits.

I can imagine it's due to the quality of the lighting. Yes, you can touch up later (bringing out shadow details and increase saturation, etc) but perfect lighting will naturally bring out the details of the eyes.
