The favorite autumn photos thread made me think we need a winter photo thread.  Here's a lovely transition from fall to winter photo.  I love the shots that show how just a little difference in elevation can turn rain into snow.  It's like that here in the desert sometimes. We'll have rainy winter days, but see little snowcaps on the surrounding mountains.

OK, we're coming up on Christmas and I'm sitting in my brown little desert wishing for snow (or at least rain).  Diana posted some lovely ones from last year of Graham Rains' Shillingstone.  But in the last couple of days, he's again showed us what heaven must look like on a cold day.  Like Ron says, Beautiful England.  Thanks, Graham!

It still blows my mind that the frost is so thick over there.  Who needs snow when you have frost like this?!
