Can anyone please help with any old photographs of Wallasey Village area, specifically in and around Green lane and of the railway line being built, about 1880 onwards. Thankyou very much, Lucy

Wow, thats a tall order Lucy but you never know what the members might come up with here. Presumably you know you can type 'Wallasey' into the 'Search' box at the top of the page on the left. There are only three pictures at present but watch this space I say!

By the way, welcome to POE from Anna and Ron, Lucy although it would be good if you went to 'User Introductions' where you'll receive the usual great welcome from the members.

Lucy:

You might try looking at old photos of Wallasey at the following Francis Frith site:

http://www.francisfrith.com/wallasey/photos/

You might also try the National Railway Museum site for further information and possible railway construction photos in or near Wallasey:

http://www.nrm.org.uk

Good luck!
